Soulwinning
The purpose of our church missions program is to fulfill the Great Commission. Acts 1:8 states, “… ye shall be witnesses unto me …unto the uttermost part of the earth. Coastline takes this command as a personal and collective responsibility. At the present, our church missions’ effort is financially supporting 16 individual missionaries across the world.
Soul winning is not only a privilege but also a commandment. Be a part in spreading the Gospel and winning our nation to Christ with our soul-winning opportunities. You’ll have hands-on experience in sharing the Gospel with the lost, and in doing so, you too can become an efficient soul winner! If you have never gone soul winning, are inexperienced, or would like to become a better soul winner, you will be paired up with an experienced soul winner who can teach you how to become a better soul winner. All you have to do is be willing to go.
Tuesday Soul-winning
Our Soul Winners meet at the Greyhound Bus Station at 7:45am to be one of the first to welcome Marines arriving in Jacksonville. Most Marines off the bus are here to attend the School of Infantry (SOI) or Marine Combat Training (MCT). These young men and women are open to the gospel; please consider aiding us in sharing the love of Jesus Christ.
Thursday Ladies Soul-winning
Our ladies meet in the church auditorium at 9:45am for a brief meeting, encouragement from the Soul-winning Director, and pair assignments.
Thursday Night Soul-winning / Visitation
This is an opportunity for CBC to visit our visitors. This is an excellent chance to answer any questions as well as provide insight into the various internal ministries CBC provides to the members as well as the outreach ministries geared toward assisting the residents of Jacksonville.

Choir & Orchestra
One of the greatest blessings to those who attend the services at Coastline Baptist Church is the soul-stirring music. We believe that music plays an important role in preparing hearts to receive the message that is preached from the pulpit. Our music is encouraging, uplifting, and Christ-honoring.
The music ministry involves many members of our church in some capacity. There is a place in the Music Ministry for every member of the family to get involved. Opportunities include the adult choir, the teen choir, the Patch the Pirate / Pew Wee choirs, as well as a children’s choir. From these choirs come a variety of special music groups that are used during the public services, and in other ministries of the church.
A new addition to our Music Ministry is the Coastline Baptist Church Orchestra. This provides yet another avenue of service for those who are willing to use their talents for the Lord.
Young Married Couples
There are plenty of opportunities for married couples to strengthen their relationships with the Lord as well as with each other. Couples can enjoy the teaching of God’s Word through Sunday School classes designed especially for married couples. Our Homebuilders class focuses on couples who wish to build a Godly family. Couples not only receive instruction but also get the opportunity to interact with other married couples during bi-monthly activities throughout the year. We also have annual couples’ retreats, Sweetheart Banquet, Christmas parties, and several dinner outings to name just a few of the many activities you and your spouse can enjoy.
We also offer a Sunday school class designed specifically for young married couples. It is called the Homebuilder’s Class, and takes place every Sunday morning at 10:00 in the fellowship hall. In addition to this, it is also taught by Pastor Wrightson.
Seasoned Saints
If you are 50 years young or older you will enjoy this ministry. This ministry affords this life stage an opportunity to interact and fellowship during our bi-monthly event throughout the year. Activities and retreat are a great way to share the joys of life, the greatness of God, and his bountiful wonders with Christ honoring believers.
Missions
Yellow Ribbon Ministry
The purpose of the Coastline Baptist Church “Yellow Ribbons Club” is to reach out and offer Biblical encouragement and support to military wives. During times of deployments spouses portray strength while feeling weak and suffering in silence. God says, in II Corinthians 12:9, “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” God’s grace is all sufficient whether you are having a baby or you are dealing with a difficult issue. God states in Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
All military wives are invited to attend our monthly meetings. Whether you are an Active, Reserve, or Retired Military spouse your unique insight and biblical encouragement is welcomed. Please plan to attend our next meeting!
East Coast Bible Institute
Our goal at Coastline Baptist Church is to lead the charge in “the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”
This year God began to burden Pastor Wrightson with a desire to provide an additional opportunity for Bible training. The Great Commission includes the command to teach; East Coast Bible Institute was started to aid in fulfilling this command. As our church grows, so grows the need for us to teach, enable, and empower by training ourselves and others. ECBI allow us to train those in our church who have a desire to enhance their effectiveness in their service for the Lord.
East Coast Bible Institute offers a variety of courses in which one may study, students may earn transferable college credit. Courses of study currently being offered are Bible Foundations, Practical Survey of the Scriptures, and Biblical Theology. Courses in development include Premarital Counseling, Preparing for Marriage, Deacon Certification, Counseling, Leadership Excellence, Church Marketing, Bus Worker Certification, Audio Visual Certification, Custodial Certification, Sunday School Teacher Certification, Usher Certification, and Nursery Worker Certification.
